Winter 2022: Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul — Celtic Spirituality

Based on the new book:
Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul

Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening
to What Our Souls Know and Healing the World
by John Philip Newell

When: January through March, 2022

This Winter we’re focusing on the most foundational reality of all – our besieged planet through the eyes and wisdom of the contemporary Celtic prophet, John Philip Newell. In his latest book, Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul we will meet the hidden tradition of Celtic Christianity.  A group of outstanding speakers will speak to each chapter, helping us to listen to the Sacred around and within us in ways that will heal the earth, overcome our conflicts, and reconnect with our own deeper being. A leading spiritual teacher reveals how Celtic spirituality—listening to the sacred around us and inside of us—can help us heal the earth, overcome our conflicts, and reconnect with ourselves.

We invite you to listen and view recordings from our
Fall 2021 ZOOM meetings

inspired and guided by Bishop Michael Curry’s book, Love Is The Way

This Fall, 2021, we have invited an important national voice to give us perspective and guidance in working with our cultural discontents.  We hope you’ll join us  as we explore Bishop Michael Curry’s powerful and pragmatic call to adopt a way of life that’s deceptively simple but catalytic in its potential to change us and what’s around us.

Bishop Curry’s writings will be explored by 10 outstanding speakers whose background and work have been deeply engaged with the precepts found in the chapters of Love Is The Way.  We hope you’ll read the book and join us for 10 inspiring and challenging Thursday mornings.

Spring 2022: Wholeness and Holiness — David Richo, PhD

Dr. Richo’s recent book, Wholeness and Holiness, guides us through a three-step journey to psychological soundness, spiritual wholeness, and saintly holiness. We have body-minds that can be psychologically healthy, but it is up to us to nurture this process. When we do, we feel wholesome, body and mind. We have spiritual consciousness, but it is up to us to be aware of it and act in accord with it. When we do, we feel whole, body and mind. We are imprinted with a calling to sanctity, and yet, it is up to us to be open to its heroic demands. When we do, we feel joyously full of grace, body and mind. The goal throughout this journey is to attain both wholeness and holiness. For this to be achieved, a person must work at all three.
